Over the years, we have undertook countless renovation project ranging from repair works for HDB to full scale office renovation for big multi national corporations.

Our History

  • JM Interior Works (1990)

    • It has been more than 30 years when we first entered this industry.
    • Started by Mr Jamaludin Bin Masood many decades ago with a single goal in mind - to provide transparency in the home renovation industry.
    • Years ago, there wasn't any social media platform for people to share their horror stories or bad experiences about being cheated however these cheating cases do happen very frequently.
    • He wanted to be different, he wanted to be that honest and reliable contractor to change people perceptions.
    • Things were very different back then, no licensing, no safety regulations compare to today. Workers are all paid by cash, there wasn't even any invoice or quotations. Heck, he didn't even had a printer when he started.
    • He continued running the sole prop business on and off, doing small scale projects for both residential projects and commercial projects while working a full time job.
    • His commitment was to his family and his day job thus he didn't had many opportunity to expand or grow the business.
    • The traditional media were very expensive to advertise and he mainly rely on referrals business.

  • JM & SONS General Contractor Pte. Ltd.

    • In 2018, both his Son's decided to took over and incorporated the company and set up a private limited entity, they sorted out all the business licensing, registering with BCA, MOM, ACRA and all the relevant govt entities.
    • From then on, we have been actively involved in some residential projects but mainly commercial projects, gaining numerous support even without any form of advertisement.
    • Covid19 made a big shift in our business direction, when all commercial projects were put to a halt, we had no choice but to venture into the residential projects, then we realized that many direct home owners are yearning for more transparency and wanted greater assurance, there need to be a change from the traditional ways of renovating - we started the idea for consumers to go for direct contractors instead of going through an ID or middle-man.
    • We disrupted the market by advocating our clients to go for direct contractors, gaining both positive and negative response. Many homeowners thanked us and many ID's were against us.
    • To increase further assurance, we provided all our clients with an add-on public liability insurance covering all our projects for up to $1,000,000
    • We've also obtain many credentials, certificates and were also awarded Singapore's Top 100 Entrepreneur Award 2022
